Yeah, that web design looks great, feels great, but does it work? Does the design do what it's meant to do? Is it making money? Can it communicate a complex set of messages, without losing the viewer? Today's business world demands that communication designers posses many layers of complementary skills. Before anyone can justify forking over the big bacon, they want to know... can you write well, do you present well? Can you sell. Can you boil the big picture down to a simple concept? What about managing all the details? And, above all what technology will offer the best return on investment?

The easy part

Beautiful design is the easy part. It's the shotgun wedding of design, technology and business that's the tricky part. And so, all of these questions have brought me here to this page, here pitching you on my abilities as a designer and art director. I think that great design is about marketing and marketing is about having a conversation. So what's the best way to have a meaningful conversation with another person? Find out what the other person wants to talk about. And so, that's been my approach to marketing and design. Now that technology has afforded everyone the ability to publish with a few keystrokes, what's left? I say good conversation! Communication that helps connect the dots that your customer wants connected.
